在許多文學(xué)研究者的眼中,他的地位和影響力甚至高過于《紅樓夢(mèng)》。為什么一邊是文人稱贊的奇書,一邊又被禁了多年、只能少量印發(fā)、內(nèi)部傳閱?
《金瓶梅》里的水可太深了。單說第一主角西門慶大官人,我們認(rèn)識(shí)他,還是《水滸傳》中那個(gè)為了潘金蓮害死武大郎的大財(cái)主。但是在《金瓶梅》中,它是亦商亦官都能混明白,黑白兩道通吃的暴發(fā)戶。潘金蓮其實(shí)就只是他納的一個(gè)妾。在潘金蓮之外呢,還有李瓶?jī)?、龐春梅等等?/b>
《金瓶梅》里的內(nèi)容,可不僅僅是那一百多次不可描述的情節(jié),而是寫西門慶這個(gè)一家之主、地方一霸,怎么一步一步在商場(chǎng)和官場(chǎng)摸爬滾打,獲得了女人、巨財(cái)、高官,壞事做盡又不必付出代價(jià)的故事。
講故事的作者蘭陵笑笑生,他寫盡了明代社會(huì)的人情潛規(guī)則和人性密碼。放到現(xiàn)在,感覺它也不可能出版。不讓人看最簡(jiǎn)單的辦法就是詆毀它,讓歷代讀書人把它看作是腐蝕人心、專注下三路的艷書。
作家劉心武先生用了幾十年的時(shí)間研究《金瓶梅》,寫了本《劉心武細(xì)說<金瓶梅>》。他不光寫清楚了《金瓶梅》的故事梗概和人物命運(yùn),還延伸寫了相關(guān)的歷史背景和文學(xué)成就。

今天開始講世情小說《金瓶梅》
《金瓶梅》是一部明代長(zhǎng)篇白話世情小說,一般認(rèn)為是中國(guó)第一部文人獨(dú)立創(chuàng)作的章回體長(zhǎng)篇小說。它的成書時(shí)間大約在明代萬歷年間。
老師說,這本書以前被談“金”色變,但是現(xiàn)在被寫進(jìn)了文學(xué)史。在講這部作品之前,老師首先提出幾個(gè)思考題:
1. 有閱讀過《金瓶梅》的嗎?
沒有。有的同學(xué)家里有這本藏書,但是沒有讀過。
(1)關(guān)于《金瓶梅》,東吳弄珠客寫道:
“讀《金瓶梅》而生憐憫心者,菩薩也;
生畏懼心者,君子也;
生歡喜心者,小人也;
生效法心者,乃禽獸耳。”
(2)清代的小說評(píng)論家和文學(xué)家張竹坡關(guān)于《金瓶梅》的讀法:
?今有讀書看《金瓶梅》,無論其父母師傅禁止之,即其自己亦不敢對(duì)人讀。不知真正讀書者,方能讀《金瓶梅》;其避人讀者,乃真正看淫書也。
?《金瓶梅》不可零星看,如零星看,便只看其淫處也。故必盡數(shù)日之間,一氣看完。
“第一奇書非淫書”。
2. 為什么叫《金瓶梅》?
有兩種聲音:
(1)一種說法是人名合成。
明代袁中道《游居?xùn){錄》所云:“金”者,即潘金蓮也;“瓶”者,即李瓶?jī)阂玻弧懊贰闭?,即厐春梅也。
也就是說,《金瓶梅》書名由書中三個(gè)女主人公潘金蓮、李瓶?jī)骸嫶好访种懈魅∫蛔趾铣伞?/b>
魯迅也支持這種說法,在《中國(guó)小說的歷史的變遷》:……因?yàn)檫@書中的潘金蓮、李瓶?jī)?、龐春梅,都是重要人物,所以書名就叫《金瓶梅》?/b>
(2)還有一種說法:純屬偶然。
清代顧公燮《消夏閑記》:倉(cāng)促之間,鳳洲見金瓶中供梅,遂以《金瓶梅》答之。
《金瓶梅》第71回,寫西門慶到何太監(jiān)家,看到的就是“盤堆異果,花插金瓶”。第68回,西門慶在妓女鄭愛月兒家,看到的也是“盤堆異果,花插金瓶”。
3. 為什么讀懂了《金瓶梅》,就讀懂了人性?
老師說,《金瓶梅》被稱為是千古奇書,人性是極其復(fù)雜的。細(xì)細(xì)品讀會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn),有些語(yǔ)言很世俗,但揭示的是大道理,如:
(1)“兒孫自有兒孫福,莫與兒孫做牛馬”。人不能一輩子為兒女活著,失去了自我。
(2)“賤里買來賤里賣,容易得來容易舍”。意思是:容易得到的東西,也容易被舍棄。得來容易的東西,往往不被珍惜。西門慶的愛情觀,他容易得到的,也容易被他舍棄。《金瓶梅》告訴我們,輕易到手的東西不會(huì)珍惜。
(3)“自古人無千日好,果然花無摘下紅”。意思是:人生不會(huì)永遠(yuǎn)在頂峰,早晚會(huì)有跌落低谷的時(shí)候。人生就是在無數(shù)道坎上走過,生活有磨難,有坎坷,有暗礁,有挫折。人的一生起起落落,不可能總是一帆風(fēng)順,“花無千日好”,無論是挫折還是磨難都只是暫時(shí)的,但繁華過盡也會(huì)趨于平靜。保持內(nèi)心的平靜,淡泊如水,才是一個(gè)人最好的修行。
(4)“生我之門死我戶,看得破時(shí)忍不過”。戶:半扇門。每個(gè)人都知道人生的終點(diǎn),但心態(tài)是不一樣的。
老師說,有些話有它的典型性、深刻性,也有它的矛盾性。

今天的課上,老師首先繼續(xù)上節(jié)課講的關(guān)于《金瓶梅》思考題“3. 為什么讀懂了《金瓶梅》,就讀懂了人性?”中一些世俗語(yǔ)句中揭示的大道理。
《金瓶梅》被視為第一奇書,在世俗的眼光中,《金瓶梅》常常被視為一部寫“淫亂”的小說。
世人對(duì)于它的評(píng)價(jià),往往停留在表面,卻忽視了它背后深沉的文化內(nèi)涵。實(shí)際上,《金瓶梅》不僅有浮于表面的男女情欲,還有風(fēng)花雪月之外的市井煙火,更是一部對(duì)人性深刻剖析的名著。
老師繼續(xù)上節(jié)課講到的第(4)句:
(4)“生我之門死我戶,看得破時(shí)忍不過”。意思是:人這一輩子生死均有定數(shù),可是仍然有人放不下,看不破。老師說,這句話有三層意思:
①生命有始有終,在時(shí)間面前是無能為力的。生死的話題很深刻,用佛家的話說就是生死輪回。人生有大事小事,總有你解決不了的問題,螻蟻之叮是最扎心的。
②人性之中是有矛盾有掙扎的??吹闷茣r(shí)忍不過,是說有些時(shí)候人在理智上是可以接受的,但是在情感上接受不了。對(duì)于人們來說,明明知道生命很短暫,但接受這個(gè)事實(shí)就很難了。
③人生的無奈與放不下。人之將死時(shí)有很多的遺憾和舍不下的事情。李瓶?jī)旱乃?,猶如一面鏡子,映照出人們對(duì)于生死的無助與矛盾。
(5)“金逢火煉方知色,人與財(cái)交便見心”。意思是:經(jīng)過火煉才知是真金,遭遇困難與金錢打交道了才能見真心。在物欲橫流的社會(huì)中,金錢常成為人與人之間關(guān)系的試金石。在金錢面前,人性常失去方向。當(dāng)涉及到金錢,人們的真實(shí)面目往往也會(huì)浮現(xiàn)出來。這些話提醒我們,看清身邊人的真實(shí)面目,同時(shí)也要明白,真正的朋友,是不會(huì)因?yàn)殄X而改變的。
(6)“一朝馬死黃金盡,親者如同陌路人”?!榜R死”代表富貴、權(quán)勢(shì)已完結(jié)。這句話的意思是:人一旦失去權(quán)勢(shì)、財(cái)富,再親密的友人也會(huì)形同陌路。西門慶去世后,其家人、朋友也作鳥獸散。這句話是對(duì)人性的深刻揭示,也是對(duì)現(xiàn)實(shí)社會(huì)的一個(gè)諷刺。
老師說,從《金瓶梅》這部不朽的名著中我們可以看到人性的各種面貌,人的欲望和人性的復(fù)雜,都在《金瓶梅》這部作品中得到了深刻的展示。所以說,讀懂了《金瓶梅》,就讀懂了人性。

(一)成書的年代
老師說,“四大奇書”中其他三部(《三國(guó)演義》、《水滸傳》、《西游記》)的成書都有一個(gè)過程,在作品問世之前,都有相同題材的故事曾流傳民間,并見諸其他藝術(shù)形式,如“說話”、南戲、雜劇等等。 唯獨(dú)《金瓶梅》的故事“無本事”,即沒有史書記載。與此前長(zhǎng)篇小說世代累積型的成書過程不同,《金瓶梅》是我國(guó)小說史上第一部由文人作家獨(dú)立創(chuàng)作的長(zhǎng)篇小說。一般認(rèn)為,它寫成于明代萬歷前中期。它的出現(xiàn),標(biāo)志著我國(guó)古代小說的發(fā)展進(jìn)入了一個(gè)新的階段。
線索一:明史專家吳晗根據(jù)《金瓶梅》第七回中孟玉樓說的一段話:“常言道:世上錢財(cái)倘來物,那是長(zhǎng)貧久富家?緊著起來,朝廷爺一時(shí)沒錢使,還問太仆寺借馬價(jià)銀子支來使?!?/b>
吳晗認(rèn)為:“嘉隆時(shí)代的借支處只是光祿和太倉(cāng),因?yàn)槟菚r(shí)太仆寺尚未存有大宗馬價(jià)銀,所以無借支的可能。到隆慶中葉雖曾借支數(shù)次,卻不如萬歷十年以后的頻繁?!纱丝芍对~話》中所指‘朝廷爺還問太仆寺借馬價(jià)銀子來使’必為萬歷十年以后的事?!督鹌棵吩~話》的本文包含有萬歷十年以后的史實(shí),則其著作的最早時(shí)期必在萬歷十年以后。”
線索二:民間小曲子“掛枝兒”在萬歷34年開始流行,書中記錄眾多流行小曲,沒有此曲。因此,吳晗斷定此書成書在萬歷10∽30年間。
(二)《金瓶梅》的作者
《金瓶梅詞話》卷首欣欣子所作序稱:“蘭陵笑笑生作”。
古稱“蘭陵”之地有二:一為今山東嶧yì縣,另一為今江蘇武進(jìn)縣。
“笑笑生”是誰(shuí)?這是作者所用的筆名,此人真實(shí)身份已成為歷史謎團(tuán)。
作為中國(guó)文學(xué)史上第一位獨(dú)立創(chuàng)作長(zhǎng)篇白話小說的作家,蘭陵笑笑生在小說創(chuàng)作上達(dá)到了前所未有的高度,他所創(chuàng)作的《金瓶梅》以市井人物與世俗風(fēng)情為描寫中心,開啟了文人直接取材于現(xiàn)實(shí)社會(huì)生活而創(chuàng)作長(zhǎng)篇小說的先河。
關(guān)于《金瓶梅》的作者,明代沈德符說是“嘉靖間大名士手筆”;有說是趙南星、薛應(yīng)旂、盧楠、李開先、屠隆等多種說法;最為流行的是指為王世貞所寫。王世貞的身世、生平、籍貫、愛好、文學(xué)素養(yǎng)、社會(huì)經(jīng)歷、思想風(fēng)貌、創(chuàng)作時(shí)間、生活習(xí)慣等,“與《金瓶梅》全書對(duì)勘”,認(rèn)為作品所描寫的內(nèi)容與王世貞的各種情況都“很對(duì)口徑”,“王世貞的影子完全攝在《金瓶梅》中”,所以,“王世貞是最有條件寫此書的作者。”

一部耗費(fèi)了作者大量心血的書,為什么不署自己的名字?老師說:
一是因?yàn)樽髡叩膬r(jià)值觀與明代的社會(huì)現(xiàn)實(shí)背道而馳。作者并非要借《金瓶梅》揚(yáng)名或謀利,盡管書中難免留有作者的痕跡,但作者主觀上都在刻意隱瞞。老師說,在明代寫小說是細(xì)枝末節(jié),上不了大雅之堂,而且還寫了以往知識(shí)分子不敢寫的細(xì)節(jié)。只能大體推測(cè),作者應(yīng)該是一個(gè)有身份、有見識(shí)、有學(xué)識(shí),有才氣的離經(jīng)叛道的名家、頂級(jí)文人。
二是為了避免政治壓力、道德束縛與朝廷迫害,只能佚名。
(三)《金瓶梅》的版本
1.萬歷本:《金瓶梅詞話》,又稱“詞話本” ,是今見最早刊本。
2.崇禎本:《原本金瓶梅》,把“萬歷本”首回的《景陽(yáng)崗武松打虎》改為《西門慶熱結(jié)十兄弟》,回目對(duì)仗、方言土語(yǔ)多有刪改。
3.張?jiān)u本:《張竹坡批評(píng)金瓶梅第一奇書》,又稱“第一奇書本”,評(píng)語(yǔ)有價(jià)值。
4.潔本:《真本金瓶梅》,又稱《古本金瓶梅》,1926年存寶齋刊刻,將“張?jiān)u本”的穢筆刪除,首次以“潔本”面世。
5.通行本:人民文學(xué)出版社1985年排?。ㄎ垂_發(fā)行)。
2000年10月,人民文學(xué)出版社出版公開發(fā)行《金瓶梅詞話》(刪節(jié)排印本),共刪4300字。
二、《金瓶梅》的內(nèi)容和主旨
(一)內(nèi)容:
1.第1~9回,寫西門慶的發(fā)家史;
2.第10~79回主要寫西門慶暴發(fā)暴亡和金、瓶妻妾間的爭(zhēng)寵妒恨;
3.最后21回寫西門慶死后樹倒猢猻散,妻妾流散,全家敗落。

二、《金瓶梅》的內(nèi)容與主旨
(一)《金瓶梅》的內(nèi)容
內(nèi)容上節(jié)課已經(jīng)作了大致的介紹:《金瓶梅》書名是由小說中三個(gè)女主人公潘金蓮、李瓶?jī)?、龐春梅各取一字合成的。小說題材由《水滸傳》中武松殺嫂一段演化而來,通過對(duì)兼有官僚、惡霸、富商三種身份的市儈勢(shì)力的代表人物西門慶及其家庭罪惡生活的描述,體現(xiàn)當(dāng)時(shí)民間生活的面貌,描繪了一個(gè)上至朝廷內(nèi)擅權(quán)專政的太師,下至地方官僚惡霸乃至市井間的地痞、流氓、宦官、幫閑所構(gòu)成的鬼蜮世界,揭露了明代中葉社會(huì)的黑暗和腐敗,具有較深刻的認(rèn)識(shí)價(jià)值。被列為明代“四大奇書”之首。
(二)《金瓶梅》的主旨
《金瓶梅》是一部揭示明代社會(huì)黑暗和腐敗的文學(xué)作品,通過西門慶及其家庭的生活描繪,展現(xiàn)了當(dāng)時(shí)社會(huì)的世態(tài)炎涼和人性的復(fù)雜?!督鹌棵贰返降自谥v什么?老師說,有多種說法:
有人說是新興商人悲劇說;
有人說是宣淫說,書中有大量的色情描寫(公開發(fā)行版已刪除4300字);
有人說是諷喻說;
有人說是暴露說;
有人說是自然主義說…等等。
老師重點(diǎn)講了兩點(diǎn):
1.戒淫說。
(1)西門慶:貪欲過度,33歲暴亡。
(2)潘金蓮:作惡多端,死得最慘。
(3)李瓶?jī)海阂^度,加上愛子受驚悸夭亡,患血崩之癥,死時(shí)年僅二十七歲。
(4)龐春梅:縱欲而死,亡年二十九歲。
他們都是因淫欲過度走向毀滅。老師在這里講了作者在寫完第100回時(shí)寫下的一首詩(shī)來梳理整篇故事:
閑閱遺書思惘然,
誰(shuí)知天道有循環(huán)。
西門豪橫難存嗣,
敬濟(jì)顛狂定被殲。
樓月善良終有壽,
瓶梅淫佚早歸泉。
可怪金蓮遭惡報(bào),
遺臭千年作話傳!

老師逐句講解了這首詩(shī)。這是作者寫完這部書后的思考。這部書在告訴讀者:天道有循環(huán),善惡終有報(bào)。貪淫無好死,萬惡淫為首。無論是西門慶的豪橫、陳敬濟(jì)的顛狂、還是潘金蓮、李瓶?jī)?、龐春梅的淫佚狠毒都遭到了早早歸亡的惡報(bào);而孟玉樓、吳月娘這兩個(gè)相對(duì)善良的女性都得到長(zhǎng)壽善終。

通過對(duì)于西門慶家庭丑史的暴露,揭穿了當(dāng)時(shí)封建統(tǒng)治階級(jí)的腐朽齷齪的一面,這就啟示了讀者:這種社會(huì)必然要走向滅亡。作者揭露了建筑在金錢勢(shì)力上的人與人的畸形關(guān)系,把放縱情欲、追逐淫樂、道德極端敗環(huán)、墮落的現(xiàn)象赤裸裸地描繪出來,而這樣的無所顧慮和毫不隱晦的記錄,又都集中于暴露那個(gè)特定時(shí)代封建制度和封建統(tǒng)治階級(jí)的罪惡,在相當(dāng)程度上接觸到社會(huì)本質(zhì)問題。
三、《金瓶梅》中的主要人物形象
(一)西門慶
老師說,西門慶集富商、惡霸、官僚三層身份于一身,這是他積累財(cái)富、發(fā)家的基礎(chǔ)。在這里,老師講了三點(diǎn):
1.西門慶的婚姻史:一室六妾。
原配: 陳氏
繼配:吳月娘,千戶之女,正房妻子
第二房妾:李嬌兒
第三房妾:卓丟兒(病怏怏的,很快就去世了)
第三房妾:孟玉樓(補(bǔ)卓丟兒)
第四房妾: 孫雪娥
第五房妾:潘金蓮
第六房妾:李瓶?jī)?/b>
2.西門慶的發(fā)家史
(1)經(jīng)商。西門慶原繼承父業(yè)在清河縣經(jīng)營(yíng)一家生藥鋪,后來憑借著自己投機(jī)鉆營(yíng)、巧取豪奪,一躍成了當(dāng)?shù)氐氖赘?,在商界、政界通吃?/b>
(2)娶妾發(fā)家。西門慶先后娶了富孀孟玉樓、太監(jiān)侄媳李瓶?jī)?,這兩位小妾的到來為他帶來了巨額財(cái)產(chǎn)。
(3)牟取暴利。西門慶除了原有的藥材鋪生意,開始放高利貸、開當(dāng)鋪和各種各樣的緞子鋪、絨線鋪。買通官府,經(jīng)營(yíng)鹽業(yè),牟取暴利。
(4)暴力打壓竟?fàn)帉?duì)手,侵吞他人財(cái)產(chǎn)。西門慶唆使地痞流氓無賴,多次到蔣竹山的藥店鬧事,還偽造票據(jù),硬賴他欠賬不還并訴之官府,把蔣竹山打的半死,迫使他拆了藥鋪。
(5)收受賄賂,買官牟利。西門慶用重禮買通丞相蔡京讓他做了提刑官,之后更加豪橫,收禮行賄,欺行霸市。
有人說,《金瓶梅》是暴露文學(xué),暴露社會(huì)的陰暗面。西門慶的發(fā)家史手段大部分是非法的,獲取財(cái)富一是靠暴力手段,二是官商勾結(jié)收受賄賂。
3.西門慶的形象
(1)心狠手辣 ,不擇手段 。如為霸占宋惠蓮,先陷害其丈夫來旺,又害死宋父等。
(2)調(diào)風(fēng)戲月,坑害女性。
他有一妻六妾,又在外長(zhǎng)期包占伙計(jì)之妻王六兒,私通貴夫人林太太,還常去煙花柳巷。這樣的色情狂在古今中外的現(xiàn)實(shí)生活與文學(xué)作品中也是絕無僅有的。

①朝廷在清算楊戩的過程中,本要懲處楊黨中的西門慶,而身為右丞相的李邦彥在接受了五百兩金銀的賄賂后,偷天換日,以賈慶當(dāng)替死鬼。
②丞相蔡京做生日,西門慶以一份珍貴生辰禮物博得蔡京歡心,由“一介公民”做了山東理刑副千戶。后又拜其為干老子,升為理刑正千戶。
③用詭計(jì)把彈劾他的曾御史貶謫。
(4)投機(jī)鉆營(yíng),狡詐虛偽
(二)潘金蓮
1.“千古第一淫婦”
2.淫欲狂與虐待狂
3.受害者與害人者
4.“千古悲劇人物”
潘金蓮人物形象的意義:
①惡之土壤生毒花。潘金蓮是一夫多妻制的男權(quán)社會(huì)開出的一朵惡花。罪惡的社會(huì)造就了這么一個(gè)罪惡的女人,罪惡的社會(huì)又徹底吞噬掉了這個(gè)罪惡的女人。
②自古紅顏多薄命。潘金蓮不是一個(gè)軟弱、安分認(rèn)命、逆來順受、渾渾噩噩地度過一生的女人,而是一個(gè)富于生命活力的不安分的女人。她對(duì)于自己與武大郎的婚姻深懷不滿。然而,其不屈服于命運(yùn)安排的反抗,最終在萬惡的舊社會(huì)碰得頭破血流、香消花殞。
講到這里,老師提出了三個(gè)思考題:

今天的課上,老師繼續(xù)講四大奇書之一《金瓶梅》。上節(jié)課講到“三、《金瓶梅》中的主要人物形象”,老師重點(diǎn)分析了西門慶和潘金蓮兩個(gè)人物,并提出了三個(gè)思考題。今天接著講這三個(gè)思考題:
思考1. 《金瓶梅》為什么有大量性描寫?
老師說,70多萬字的《金瓶梅》有1萬9千字描寫性,因此一直被列為淫書、禁書。最后公開發(fā)行的版本刪掉了4千3百字?!督鹌棵贰分杂写罅康男悦鑼懀?/b>
(1)是時(shí)代風(fēng)氣的影響所致。
首先,政治生態(tài)不健康?!督鹌棵贰烦蓵拿鞔f歷年神宗皇帝朱翊鈞長(zhǎng)期不理朝政,迷戀酒色。
大理寺評(píng)事雒于仁給荒廢朝政的神宗皇帝呈上奏折《酒色財(cái)氣\"四箴\"疏》,表達(dá):經(jīng)我觀察,皇帝你患了四種病:酒、色、財(cái)、氣。我給你一個(gè)藥方:戒欲干事。神宗皇帝閱后出了一身冷汗,但已無力回天。
其次,在思想層面,明代思想家李贄等人對(duì)宋代理學(xué)的反撥,提倡自然,這當(dāng)中就包括人的正常欲望,情欲,物質(zhì)追求等應(yīng)該得到認(rèn)可。
三是《金瓶梅》作者所寫的山東臨清縣,在明朝時(shí)有“三十六街花柳巷,七十二座管弦樓”之稱。煙花柳巷居多,成為一種現(xiàn)象。明末歌妓輩出,盛極一時(shí),在秦淮產(chǎn)生了“秦淮八艷”,也產(chǎn)生了大量的色情文學(xué)。
(2)是與作者的創(chuàng)作意圖有關(guān)系。
《金瓶梅》開篇有兩首詩(shī)。作者借用詩(shī)人呂巖的詩(shī)句“二八佳人體似酥,腰間仗劍斬愚夫。雖然不見人頭落,暗里教君骨髓枯?!?告訴讀者的就是作者的創(chuàng)作意圖:那個(gè)時(shí)代欲望太熱。這本書就是那個(gè)時(shí)代的冷卻書。冷熱相濟(jì),作者寫欲是為了戒欲,張竹坡稱這部小說為炎涼書、冷熱書。寫淫是為了戒淫,“以欲止欲,以淫戒淫”。
在這里,老師還講了李復(fù)合《續(xù)玄怪錄·鎖骨菩薩》的故事。講鎖骨菩薩通過滿足他人欲望來消失欲望。講《維摩詰所說經(jīng)》先以欲鉤牽,后令入佛智的佛家觀點(diǎn)。這是那個(gè)時(shí)代的警示,也是想達(dá)到對(duì)欲望冷卻的效果。
思考2:怎樣看待西門慶等人的縱欲身亡?
西門慶之死,源于拈花惹草和縱欲無度。
①西門慶之流的縱欲描寫是明中葉“好貨好色”的人性解放思潮下的產(chǎn)物。
②西門慶等人的暴亡證明了一個(gè)客觀規(guī)律和法則:人性的解放決不等于獸性的放縱。
③西門慶之流的縱欲,是世風(fēng)荒淫的表現(xiàn),也是明朝亡國(guó)的先兆。

清代張潮《幽夢(mèng)影》評(píng)價(jià):“《水滸傳》是一部怒書(各路好漢因不滿朝廷而走向反抗的道路);《西游記》是一部悟書(悟:在儒→成圣,在道→成仙,在釋→成佛);《金瓶梅》是一部哀書?!?/b>
首先,小說通過西門慶、陳敬濟(jì)等人的命運(yùn)深刻表現(xiàn)了16世紀(jì)中國(guó)新興商人的悲劇,下層人物走向毀滅的悲劇。
其次,小說通過金、瓶、梅三大淫婦的毀滅,生動(dòng)反映了晚明時(shí)期人欲放縱的悲劇。
四、《金瓶梅》的藝術(shù)成就——白話長(zhǎng)篇小說發(fā)展的里程碑
(一)變奇為常,從神到人,“寄意于時(shí)俗”
老師說,《三國(guó)演義》寫國(guó)家爭(zhēng)斗;《水滸傳》寫英雄人物;《西游記》寫取經(jīng)成佛;而《金瓶梅》的題材不再是皇祚更替、英雄征戰(zhàn)、神魔斗法,而是轉(zhuǎn)向世俗社會(huì),瑣碎家事。人物不再是帝王將相、英雄豪杰、神佛妖魔,而是變?yōu)榧彝ツ信?,市井百姓。情?jié)開始關(guān)注人情悲歡,世態(tài)炎涼,更加貼近現(xiàn)實(shí),直面人生。
張竹坡《批評(píng)第一奇書讀法》:《金瓶梅》妙在于善用犯筆而不犯。
1.事件相犯:描寫場(chǎng)景、人物非常類似,但是有區(qū)別。如:寫李桂姐,偏又寫吳銀姐,都用一種手法,事件相犯,都通過認(rèn)干媽借勢(shì),但出發(fā)點(diǎn)與結(jié)局不同,作者的描述詳略得當(dāng)。
2.人物相犯
如:寫伯爵,也寫希大,然畢竟伯爵是伯爵,希大是希大,各人的身分,各人的談吐,一絲不紊。寫金蓮,更寫瓶?jī)海芍^犯矣。然又始終聚散,其言語(yǔ)舉動(dòng)又各不紊一絲。寫王六兒,又寫賁四嫂;寫王婆,又寫薛媒婆,陶媒婆;寫薛姑子,偏又寫王姑子,劉姑子;諸如此類,皆妙在特特犯手,卻又各各一款,絕不相同。作者始終把筆觸放在普通人身上。
(二)由美到丑,從歌頌到暴露,揭示了人性之惡,從審美到審丑。
以前的章回小說立意在歌頌,而《金瓶梅》則意在暴露。偌大一部作品,沒有一個(gè)好人,沒有一個(gè)正人。
張竹坡評(píng)說: “西門慶是混賬惡人,吳月娘是奸險(xiǎn)好人,玉樓是乖人,金蓮不是人,瓶?jī)菏前V人,春梅是狂人,敬濟(jì)是浮浪小人,嬌兒是死人,雪娥是蠢人,宋惠蓮是不識(shí)高低的人,如意是個(gè)頂缺之人。若王六兒與林太太等,直與李桂姐輩一流,總是不得叫做人。而伯爵希大輩,皆是沒良心之人,兼之蔡太師、蔡狀元、宋御使,皆是枉為人也?!?/b>

1.淡化故事情節(jié),注重刻畫人物。以前小說往往把故事情節(jié)放首位,《金瓶梅》則開始把描寫中心向人物轉(zhuǎn)移。
2.注意多色調(diào)、立體化寫人。
人物性格中有善有惡,色彩斑斕。如西門慶兇狠毒辣,膽大包天,但有時(shí)也知擔(dān)驚受怕;愛財(cái)如命,貪婪成性,有時(shí)又慷慨助人;玩弄婦女,心狠手辣,可專寵瓶?jī)簠s有人情味兒。
(四)從線性結(jié)構(gòu)到網(wǎng)狀結(jié)構(gòu)
以前長(zhǎng)篇,都從“說話”演變而來,其結(jié)構(gòu)是一個(gè)個(gè)故事貫穿起來的線性結(jié)構(gòu)。
《金瓶梅》以西門慶及其家庭為主線,金、瓶、梅等故事單線又都與家庭糾葛相連。其家庭的小社會(huì)又與市井、商場(chǎng)、官府等的大社會(huì)橫向相連,形成一種縱橫交叉的網(wǎng)狀結(jié)構(gòu)?!督鹌棵贰返那楣?jié)不在于離奇曲折、環(huán)環(huán)相扣,而在于嚴(yán)密細(xì)致,自然展開。
(五)從雅變俗,多用市井語(yǔ)、家??陬^語(yǔ)。
《金瓶梅》幾乎不加修飾地展現(xiàn)市民生活原生態(tài),故多用民間市井語(yǔ)、家??陬^語(yǔ)。
欣欣子在《序》中說:《金瓶梅》多用“市井之常談,閨房之碎語(yǔ)”。
張竹坡第28回評(píng)說:“只是家??陬^語(yǔ),說來偏妙”。
《金瓶梅》大量吸收方言、行話、諺語(yǔ)、歇后語(yǔ)、俏皮話等等,熔鑄為“一篇市井文字”(張竹坡《金瓶梅讀法》)。

世情小說到清代形成多元化格局,如 :才子佳人小說, 世態(tài)小說,艷情小說等。
毛澤東對(duì)《金瓶梅》與《紅樓夢(mèng)》關(guān)系的評(píng)論:“《金瓶梅》是《紅樓夢(mèng)》的祖宗,沒有《金瓶梅》,就寫不出《紅樓夢(mèng)》”。
老師最后說,這學(xué)期的課到此結(jié)束。下學(xué)期繼續(xù)講明清小說《牡丹亭》、《儒林外史》、《聊齋志異》、《紅樓夢(mèng)》等。

《金瓶梅》里的內(nèi)容,可不僅僅是那一百多次不可描述的情節(jié),而是寫西門慶這個(gè)一家之主、地方一霸,怎么一步一步在商場(chǎng)和官場(chǎng)摸爬滾打,獲得了女人、巨財(cái)、高官,壞事做盡又不必付出代價(jià)的故事。
講故事的作者蘭陵笑笑生,他寫盡了明代社會(huì)的人情潛規(guī)則和人性密碼。放到現(xiàn)在,感覺它也不可能出版。不讓人看最簡(jiǎn)單的辦法就是詆毀它,讓歷代讀書人把它看作是腐蝕人心、專注下三路的艷書。
作家劉心武先生用了幾十年的時(shí)間研究《金瓶梅》,寫了本《劉心武細(xì)說<金瓶梅>》。他不光寫清楚了《金瓶梅》的故事梗概和人物命運(yùn),還延伸寫了相關(guān)的歷史背景和文學(xué)成就。

今天開始講世情小說《金瓶梅》
《金瓶梅》是一部明代長(zhǎng)篇白話世情小說,一般認(rèn)為是中國(guó)第一部文人獨(dú)立創(chuàng)作的章回體長(zhǎng)篇小說。它的成書時(shí)間大約在明代萬歷年間。
老師說,這本書以前被談“金”色變,但是現(xiàn)在被寫進(jìn)了文學(xué)史。在講這部作品之前,老師首先提出幾個(gè)思考題:
1. 有閱讀過《金瓶梅》的嗎?
沒有。有的同學(xué)家里有這本藏書,但是沒有讀過。
(1)關(guān)于《金瓶梅》,東吳弄珠客寫道:
“讀《金瓶梅》而生憐憫心者,菩薩也;
生畏懼心者,君子也;
生歡喜心者,小人也;
生效法心者,乃禽獸耳?!?/b>
(2)清代的小說評(píng)論家和文學(xué)家張竹坡關(guān)于《金瓶梅》的讀法:
?今有讀書看《金瓶梅》,無論其父母師傅禁止之,即其自己亦不敢對(duì)人讀。不知真正讀書者,方能讀《金瓶梅》;其避人讀者,乃真正看淫書也。
?《金瓶梅》不可零星看,如零星看,便只看其淫處也。故必盡數(shù)日之間,一氣看完。
“第一奇書非淫書”。
2. 為什么叫《金瓶梅》?
有兩種聲音:
(1)一種說法是人名合成。
明代袁中道《游居?xùn){錄》所云:“金”者,即潘金蓮也;“瓶”者,即李瓶?jī)阂?;“梅”者,即厐春梅也。
也就是說,《金瓶梅》書名由書中三個(gè)女主人公潘金蓮、李瓶?jī)骸嫶好访种懈魅∫蛔趾铣伞?/b>
魯迅也支持這種說法,在《中國(guó)小說的歷史的變遷》:……因?yàn)檫@書中的潘金蓮、李瓶?jī)?、龐春梅,都是重要人物,所以書名就叫《金瓶梅》?/b>
(2)還有一種說法:純屬偶然。
清代顧公燮《消夏閑記》:倉(cāng)促之間,鳳洲見金瓶中供梅,遂以《金瓶梅》答之。
《金瓶梅》第71回,寫西門慶到何太監(jiān)家,看到的就是“盤堆異果,花插金瓶”。第68回,西門慶在妓女鄭愛月兒家,看到的也是“盤堆異果,花插金瓶”。
3. 為什么讀懂了《金瓶梅》,就讀懂了人性?
老師說,《金瓶梅》被稱為是千古奇書,人性是極其復(fù)雜的。細(xì)細(xì)品讀會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn),有些語(yǔ)言很世俗,但揭示的是大道理,如:
(1)“兒孫自有兒孫福,莫與兒孫做牛馬”。人不能一輩子為兒女活著,失去了自我。
(2)“賤里買來賤里賣,容易得來容易舍”。意思是:容易得到的東西,也容易被舍棄。得來容易的東西,往往不被珍惜。西門慶的愛情觀,他容易得到的,也容易被他舍棄?!督鹌棵贰犯嬖V我們,輕易到手的東西不會(huì)珍惜。
(3)“自古人無千日好,果然花無摘下紅”。意思是:人生不會(huì)永遠(yuǎn)在頂峰,早晚會(huì)有跌落低谷的時(shí)候。人生就是在無數(shù)道坎上走過,生活有磨難,有坎坷,有暗礁,有挫折。人的一生起起落落,不可能總是一帆風(fēng)順,“花無千日好”,無論是挫折還是磨難都只是暫時(shí)的,但繁華過盡也會(huì)趨于平靜。保持內(nèi)心的平靜,淡泊如水,才是一個(gè)人最好的修行。
(4)“生我之門死我戶,看得破時(shí)忍不過”。戶:半扇門。每個(gè)人都知道人生的終點(diǎn),但心態(tài)是不一樣的。
老師說,有些話有它的典型性、深刻性,也有它的矛盾性。

今天的課上,老師首先繼續(xù)上節(jié)課講的關(guān)于《金瓶梅》思考題“3. 為什么讀懂了《金瓶梅》,就讀懂了人性?”中一些世俗語(yǔ)句中揭示的大道理。
《金瓶梅》被視為第一奇書,在世俗的眼光中,《金瓶梅》常常被視為一部寫“淫亂”的小說。
世人對(duì)于它的評(píng)價(jià),往往停留在表面,卻忽視了它背后深沉的文化內(nèi)涵。實(shí)際上,《金瓶梅》不僅有浮于表面的男女情欲,還有風(fēng)花雪月之外的市井煙火,更是一部對(duì)人性深刻剖析的名著。
老師繼續(xù)上節(jié)課講到的第(4)句:
(4)“生我之門死我戶,看得破時(shí)忍不過”。意思是:人這一輩子生死均有定數(shù),可是仍然有人放不下,看不破。老師說,這句話有三層意思:
①生命有始有終,在時(shí)間面前是無能為力的。生死的話題很深刻,用佛家的話說就是生死輪回。人生有大事小事,總有你解決不了的問題,螻蟻之叮是最扎心的。
②人性之中是有矛盾有掙扎的??吹闷茣r(shí)忍不過,是說有些時(shí)候人在理智上是可以接受的,但是在情感上接受不了。對(duì)于人們來說,明明知道生命很短暫,但接受這個(gè)事實(shí)就很難了。
③人生的無奈與放不下。人之將死時(shí)有很多的遺憾和舍不下的事情。李瓶?jī)旱乃溃q如一面鏡子,映照出人們對(duì)于生死的無助與矛盾。
(5)“金逢火煉方知色,人與財(cái)交便見心”。意思是:經(jīng)過火煉才知是真金,遭遇困難與金錢打交道了才能見真心。在物欲橫流的社會(huì)中,金錢常成為人與人之間關(guān)系的試金石。在金錢面前,人性常失去方向。當(dāng)涉及到金錢,人們的真實(shí)面目往往也會(huì)浮現(xiàn)出來。這些話提醒我們,看清身邊人的真實(shí)面目,同時(shí)也要明白,真正的朋友,是不會(huì)因?yàn)殄X而改變的。
(6)“一朝馬死黃金盡,親者如同陌路人”?!榜R死”代表富貴、權(quán)勢(shì)已完結(jié)。這句話的意思是:人一旦失去權(quán)勢(shì)、財(cái)富,再親密的友人也會(huì)形同陌路。西門慶去世后,其家人、朋友也作鳥獸散。這句話是對(duì)人性的深刻揭示,也是對(duì)現(xiàn)實(shí)社會(huì)的一個(gè)諷刺。
老師說,從《金瓶梅》這部不朽的名著中我們可以看到人性的各種面貌,人的欲望和人性的復(fù)雜,都在《金瓶梅》這部作品中得到了深刻的展示。所以說,讀懂了《金瓶梅》,就讀懂了人性。

(一)成書的年代
老師說,“四大奇書”中其他三部(《三國(guó)演義》、《水滸傳》、《西游記》)的成書都有一個(gè)過程,在作品問世之前,都有相同題材的故事曾流傳民間,并見諸其他藝術(shù)形式,如“說話”、南戲、雜劇等等。 唯獨(dú)《金瓶梅》的故事“無本事”,即沒有史書記載。與此前長(zhǎng)篇小說世代累積型的成書過程不同,《金瓶梅》是我國(guó)小說史上第一部由文人作家獨(dú)立創(chuàng)作的長(zhǎng)篇小說。一般認(rèn)為,它寫成于明代萬歷前中期。它的出現(xiàn),標(biāo)志著我國(guó)古代小說的發(fā)展進(jìn)入了一個(gè)新的階段。
線索一:明史專家吳晗根據(jù)《金瓶梅》第七回中孟玉樓說的一段話:“常言道:世上錢財(cái)倘來物,那是長(zhǎng)貧久富家?緊著起來,朝廷爺一時(shí)沒錢使,還問太仆寺借馬價(jià)銀子支來使。”
吳晗認(rèn)為:“嘉隆時(shí)代的借支處只是光祿和太倉(cāng),因?yàn)槟菚r(shí)太仆寺尚未存有大宗馬價(jià)銀,所以無借支的可能。到隆慶中葉雖曾借支數(shù)次,卻不如萬歷十年以后的頻繁?!纱丝芍对~話》中所指‘朝廷爺還問太仆寺借馬價(jià)銀子來使’必為萬歷十年以后的事?!督鹌棵吩~話》的本文包含有萬歷十年以后的史實(shí),則其著作的最早時(shí)期必在萬歷十年以后?!?/b>
線索二:民間小曲子“掛枝兒”在萬歷34年開始流行,書中記錄眾多流行小曲,沒有此曲。因此,吳晗斷定此書成書在萬歷10∽30年間。
(二)《金瓶梅》的作者
《金瓶梅詞話》卷首欣欣子所作序稱:“蘭陵笑笑生作”。
古稱“蘭陵”之地有二:一為今山東嶧yì縣,另一為今江蘇武進(jìn)縣。
“笑笑生”是誰(shuí)?這是作者所用的筆名,此人真實(shí)身份已成為歷史謎團(tuán)。
作為中國(guó)文學(xué)史上第一位獨(dú)立創(chuàng)作長(zhǎng)篇白話小說的作家,蘭陵笑笑生在小說創(chuàng)作上達(dá)到了前所未有的高度,他所創(chuàng)作的《金瓶梅》以市井人物與世俗風(fēng)情為描寫中心,開啟了文人直接取材于現(xiàn)實(shí)社會(huì)生活而創(chuàng)作長(zhǎng)篇小說的先河。
關(guān)于《金瓶梅》的作者,明代沈德符說是“嘉靖間大名士手筆”;有說是趙南星、薛應(yīng)旂、盧楠、李開先、屠隆等多種說法;最為流行的是指為王世貞所寫。王世貞的身世、生平、籍貫、愛好、文學(xué)素養(yǎng)、社會(huì)經(jīng)歷、思想風(fēng)貌、創(chuàng)作時(shí)間、生活習(xí)慣等,“與《金瓶梅》全書對(duì)勘”,認(rèn)為作品所描寫的內(nèi)容與王世貞的各種情況都“很對(duì)口徑”,“王世貞的影子完全攝在《金瓶梅》中”,所以,“王世貞是最有條件寫此書的作者?!?/b>

作者為什么要佚名?
一部耗費(fèi)了作者大量心血的書,為什么不署自己的名字?老師說:
一是因?yàn)樽髡叩膬r(jià)值觀與明代的社會(huì)現(xiàn)實(shí)背道而馳。作者并非要借《金瓶梅》揚(yáng)名或謀利,盡管書中難免留有作者的痕跡,但作者主觀上都在刻意隱瞞。老師說,在明代寫小說是細(xì)枝末節(jié),上不了大雅之堂,而且還寫了以往知識(shí)分子不敢寫的細(xì)節(jié)。只能大體推測(cè),作者應(yīng)該是一個(gè)有身份、有見識(shí)、有學(xué)識(shí),有才氣的離經(jīng)叛道的名家、頂級(jí)文人。
二是為了避免政治壓力、道德束縛與朝廷迫害,只能佚名。
(三)《金瓶梅》的版本
1.萬歷本:《金瓶梅詞話》,又稱“詞話本” ,是今見最早刊本。
2.崇禎本:《原本金瓶梅》,把“萬歷本”首回的《景陽(yáng)崗武松打虎》改為《西門慶熱結(jié)十兄弟》,回目對(duì)仗、方言土語(yǔ)多有刪改。
3.張?jiān)u本:《張竹坡批評(píng)金瓶梅第一奇書》,又稱“第一奇書本”,評(píng)語(yǔ)有價(jià)值。
4.潔本:《真本金瓶梅》,又稱《古本金瓶梅》,1926年存寶齋刊刻,將“張?jiān)u本”的穢筆刪除,首次以“潔本”面世。
5.通行本:人民文學(xué)出版社1985年排印(未公開發(fā)行)。
2000年10月,人民文學(xué)出版社出版公開發(fā)行《金瓶梅詞話》(刪節(jié)排印本),共刪4300字。
二、《金瓶梅》的內(nèi)容和主旨
(一)內(nèi)容:
1.第1~9回,寫西門慶的發(fā)家史;
2.第10~79回主要寫西門慶暴發(fā)暴亡和金、瓶妻妾間的爭(zhēng)寵妒恨;
3.最后21回寫西門慶死后樹倒猢猻散,妻妾流散,全家敗落。

二、《金瓶梅》的內(nèi)容與主旨
(一)《金瓶梅》的內(nèi)容
內(nèi)容上節(jié)課已經(jīng)作了大致的介紹:《金瓶梅》書名是由小說中三個(gè)女主人公潘金蓮、李瓶?jī)骸嫶好犯魅∫蛔趾铣傻?。小說題材由《水滸傳》中武松殺嫂一段演化而來,通過對(duì)兼有官僚、惡霸、富商三種身份的市儈勢(shì)力的代表人物西門慶及其家庭罪惡生活的描述,體現(xiàn)當(dāng)時(shí)民間生活的面貌,描繪了一個(gè)上至朝廷內(nèi)擅權(quán)專政的太師,下至地方官僚惡霸乃至市井間的地痞、流氓、宦官、幫閑所構(gòu)成的鬼蜮世界,揭露了明代中葉社會(huì)的黑暗和腐敗,具有較深刻的認(rèn)識(shí)價(jià)值。被列為明代“四大奇書”之首。
(二)《金瓶梅》的主旨
《金瓶梅》是一部揭示明代社會(huì)黑暗和腐敗的文學(xué)作品,通過西門慶及其家庭的生活描繪,展現(xiàn)了當(dāng)時(shí)社會(huì)的世態(tài)炎涼和人性的復(fù)雜?!督鹌棵贰返降自谥v什么?老師說,有多種說法:
有人說是新興商人悲劇說;
有人說是宣淫說,書中有大量的色情描寫(公開發(fā)行版已刪除4300字);
有人說是諷喻說;
有人說是暴露說;
有人說是自然主義說…等等。
老師重點(diǎn)講了兩點(diǎn):
1.戒淫說。
(1)西門慶:貪欲過度,33歲暴亡。
(2)潘金蓮:作惡多端,死得最慘。
(3)李瓶?jī)海阂^度,加上愛子受驚悸夭亡,患血崩之癥,死時(shí)年僅二十七歲。
(4)龐春梅:縱欲而死,亡年二十九歲。
他們都是因淫欲過度走向毀滅。老師在這里講了作者在寫完第100回時(shí)寫下的一首詩(shī)來梳理整篇故事:
閑閱遺書思惘然,
誰(shuí)知天道有循環(huán)。
西門豪橫難存嗣,
敬濟(jì)顛狂定被殲。
樓月善良終有壽,
瓶梅淫佚早歸泉。
可怪金蓮遭惡報(bào),
遺臭千年作話傳!
——第一百回結(jié)末詩(shī)
老師逐句講解了這首詩(shī)。這是作者寫完這部書后的思考。這部書在告訴讀者:天道有循環(huán),善惡終有報(bào)。貪淫無好死,萬惡淫為首。無論是西門慶的豪橫、陳敬濟(jì)的顛狂、還是潘金蓮、李瓶?jī)?、龐春梅的淫佚狠毒都遭到了早早歸亡的惡報(bào);而孟玉樓、吳月娘這兩個(gè)相對(duì)善良的女性都得到長(zhǎng)壽善終。

通過對(duì)于西門慶家庭丑史的暴露,揭穿了當(dāng)時(shí)封建統(tǒng)治階級(jí)的腐朽齷齪的一面,這就啟示了讀者:這種社會(huì)必然要走向滅亡。作者揭露了建筑在金錢勢(shì)力上的人與人的畸形關(guān)系,把放縱情欲、追逐淫樂、道德極端敗環(huán)、墮落的現(xiàn)象赤裸裸地描繪出來,而這樣的無所顧慮和毫不隱晦的記錄,又都集中于暴露那個(gè)特定時(shí)代封建制度和封建統(tǒng)治階級(jí)的罪惡,在相當(dāng)程度上接觸到社會(huì)本質(zhì)問題。
三、《金瓶梅》中的主要人物形象
(一)西門慶
老師說,西門慶集富商、惡霸、官僚三層身份于一身,這是他積累財(cái)富、發(fā)家的基礎(chǔ)。在這里,老師講了三點(diǎn):

(2)娶妾發(fā)家。西門慶先后娶了富孀孟玉樓、太監(jiān)侄媳李瓶?jī)海@兩位小妾的到來為他帶來了巨額財(cái)產(chǎn)。
(3)牟取暴利。西門慶除了原有的藥材鋪生意,開始放高利貸、開當(dāng)鋪和各種各樣的緞子鋪、絨線鋪。買通官府,經(jīng)營(yíng)鹽業(yè),牟取暴利。
(4)暴力打壓竟?fàn)帉?duì)手,侵吞他人財(cái)產(chǎn)。西門慶唆使地痞流氓無賴,多次到蔣竹山的藥店鬧事,還偽造票據(jù),硬賴他欠賬不還并訴之官府,把蔣竹山打的半死,迫使他拆了藥鋪。
(5)收受賄賂,買官牟利。西門慶用重禮買通丞相蔡京讓他做了提刑官,之后更加豪橫,收禮行賄,欺行霸市。
有人說,《金瓶梅》是暴露文學(xué),暴露社會(huì)的陰暗面。西門慶的發(fā)家史手段大部分是非法的,獲取財(cái)富一是靠暴力手段,二是官商勾結(jié)收受賄賂。
3.西門慶的形象
(1)心狠手辣 ,不擇手段 。如為霸占宋惠蓮,先陷害其丈夫來旺,又害死宋父等。
(2)調(diào)風(fēng)戲月,坑害女性。
他有一妻六妾,又在外長(zhǎng)期包占伙計(jì)之妻王六兒,私通貴夫人林太太,還常去煙花柳巷。這樣的色情狂在古今中外的現(xiàn)實(shí)生活與文學(xué)作品中也是絕無僅有的。

①朝廷在清算楊戩的過程中,本要懲處楊黨中的西門慶,而身為右丞相的李邦彥在接受了五百兩金銀的賄賂后,偷天換日,以賈慶當(dāng)替死鬼。
②丞相蔡京做生日,西門慶以一份珍貴生辰禮物博得蔡京歡心,由“一介公民”做了山東理刑副千戶。后又拜其為干老子,升為理刑正千戶。
③用詭計(jì)把彈劾他的曾御史貶謫。

潘金蓮人物形象的意義:
①惡之土壤生毒花。潘金蓮是一夫多妻制的男權(quán)社會(huì)開出的一朵惡花。罪惡的社會(huì)造就了這么一個(gè)罪惡的女人,罪惡的社會(huì)又徹底吞噬掉了這個(gè)罪惡的女人。
②自古紅顏多薄命。潘金蓮不是一個(gè)軟弱、安分認(rèn)命、逆來順受、渾渾噩噩地度過一生的女人,而是一個(gè)富于生命活力的不安分的女人。她對(duì)于自己與武大郎的婚姻深懷不滿。然而,其不屈服于命運(yùn)安排的反抗,最終在萬惡的舊社會(huì)碰得頭破血流、香消花殞。
講到這里,老師提出了三個(gè)思考題:

今天的課上,老師繼續(xù)講四大奇書之一《金瓶梅》。上節(jié)課講到“三、《金瓶梅》中的主要人物形象”,老師重點(diǎn)分析了西門慶和潘金蓮兩個(gè)人物,并提出了三個(gè)思考題。今天接著講這三個(gè)思考題:
思考1. 《金瓶梅》為什么有大量性描寫?
老師說,70多萬字的《金瓶梅》有1萬9千字描寫性,因此一直被列為淫書、禁書。最后公開發(fā)行的版本刪掉了4千3百字。《金瓶梅》之所以有大量的性描寫:
(1)是時(shí)代風(fēng)氣的影響所致。
首先,政治生態(tài)不健康?!督鹌棵贰烦蓵拿鞔f歷年神宗皇帝朱翊鈞長(zhǎng)期不理朝政,迷戀酒色。
大理寺評(píng)事雒于仁給荒廢朝政的神宗皇帝呈上奏折《酒色財(cái)氣\"四箴\"疏》,表達(dá):經(jīng)我觀察,皇帝你患了四種?。壕?、色、財(cái)、氣。我給你一個(gè)藥方:戒欲干事。神宗皇帝閱后出了一身冷汗,但已無力回天。
其次,在思想層面,明代思想家李贄等人對(duì)宋代理學(xué)的反撥,提倡自然,這當(dāng)中就包括人的正常欲望,情欲,物質(zhì)追求等應(yīng)該得到認(rèn)可。
三是《金瓶梅》作者所寫的山東臨清縣,在明朝時(shí)有“三十六街花柳巷,七十二座管弦樓”之稱。煙花柳巷居多,成為一種現(xiàn)象。明末歌妓輩出,盛極一時(shí),在秦淮產(chǎn)生了“秦淮八艷”,也產(chǎn)生了大量的色情文學(xué)。
(2)是與作者的創(chuàng)作意圖有關(guān)系。
《金瓶梅》開篇有兩首詩(shī)。作者借用詩(shī)人呂巖的詩(shī)句“二八佳人體似酥,腰間仗劍斬愚夫。雖然不見人頭落,暗里教君骨髓枯。” 告訴讀者的就是作者的創(chuàng)作意圖:那個(gè)時(shí)代欲望太熱。這本書就是那個(gè)時(shí)代的冷卻書。冷熱相濟(jì),作者寫欲是為了戒欲,張竹坡稱這部小說為炎涼書、冷熱書。寫淫是為了戒淫,“以欲止欲,以淫戒淫”。
在這里,老師還講了李復(fù)合《續(xù)玄怪錄·鎖骨菩薩》的故事。講鎖骨菩薩通過滿足他人欲望來消失欲望。講《維摩詰所說經(jīng)》先以欲鉤牽,后令入佛智的佛家觀點(diǎn)。這是那個(gè)時(shí)代的警示,也是想達(dá)到對(duì)欲望冷卻的效果。
思考2:怎樣看待西門慶等人的縱欲身亡?
西門慶之死,源于拈花惹草和縱欲無度。
①西門慶之流的縱欲描寫是明中葉“好貨好色”的人性解放思潮下的產(chǎn)物。
②西門慶等人的暴亡證明了一個(gè)客觀規(guī)律和法則:人性的解放決不等于獸性的放縱。
③西門慶之流的縱欲,是世風(fēng)荒淫的表現(xiàn),也是明朝亡國(guó)的先兆。

清代張潮《幽夢(mèng)影》評(píng)價(jià):“《水滸傳》是一部怒書(各路好漢因不滿朝廷而走向反抗的道路);《西游記》是一部悟書(悟:在儒→成圣,在道→成仙,在釋→成佛);《金瓶梅》是一部哀書?!?/b>
首先,小說通過西門慶、陳敬濟(jì)等人的命運(yùn)深刻表現(xiàn)了16世紀(jì)中國(guó)新興商人的悲劇,下層人物走向毀滅的悲劇。
其次,小說通過金、瓶、梅三大淫婦的毀滅,生動(dòng)反映了晚明時(shí)期人欲放縱的悲劇。
四、《金瓶梅》的藝術(shù)成就——白話長(zhǎng)篇小說發(fā)展的里程碑
(一)變奇為常,從神到人,“寄意于時(shí)俗”
老師說,《三國(guó)演義》寫國(guó)家爭(zhēng)斗;《水滸傳》寫英雄人物;《西游記》寫取經(jīng)成佛;而《金瓶梅》的題材不再是皇祚更替、英雄征戰(zhàn)、神魔斗法,而是轉(zhuǎn)向世俗社會(huì),瑣碎家事。人物不再是帝王將相、英雄豪杰、神佛妖魔,而是變?yōu)榧彝ツ信?,市井百姓。情?jié)開始關(guān)注人情悲歡,世態(tài)炎涼,更加貼近現(xiàn)實(shí),直面人生。
張竹坡《批評(píng)第一奇書讀法》:《金瓶梅》妙在于善用犯筆而不犯。
1.事件相犯:描寫場(chǎng)景、人物非常類似,但是有區(qū)別。如:寫李桂姐,偏又寫吳銀姐,都用一種手法,事件相犯,都通過認(rèn)干媽借勢(shì),但出發(fā)點(diǎn)與結(jié)局不同,作者的描述詳略得當(dāng)。
2.人物相犯
如:寫伯爵,也寫希大,然畢竟伯爵是伯爵,希大是希大,各人的身分,各人的談吐,一絲不紊。寫金蓮,更寫瓶?jī)?,可謂犯矣。然又始終聚散,其言語(yǔ)舉動(dòng)又各不紊一絲。寫王六兒,又寫賁四嫂;寫王婆,又寫薛媒婆,陶媒婆;寫薛姑子,偏又寫王姑子,劉姑子;諸如此類,皆妙在特特犯手,卻又各各一款,絕不相同。作者始終把筆觸放在普通人身上。
(二)由美到丑,從歌頌到暴露,揭示了人性之惡,從審美到審丑。
以前的章回小說立意在歌頌,而《金瓶梅》則意在暴露。偌大一部作品,沒有一個(gè)好人,沒有一個(gè)正人。
張竹坡評(píng)說: “西門慶是混賬惡人,吳月娘是奸險(xiǎn)好人,玉樓是乖人,金蓮不是人,瓶?jī)菏前V人,春梅是狂人,敬濟(jì)是浮浪小人,嬌兒是死人,雪娥是蠢人,宋惠蓮是不識(shí)高低的人,如意是個(gè)頂缺之人。若王六兒與林太太等,直與李桂姐輩一流,總是不得叫做人。而伯爵希大輩,皆是沒良心之人,兼之蔡太師、蔡狀元、宋御使,皆是枉為人也?!?/b>

1.淡化故事情節(jié),注重刻畫人物。以前小說往往把故事情節(jié)放首位,《金瓶梅》則開始把描寫中心向人物轉(zhuǎn)移。
2.注意多色調(diào)、立體化寫人。
人物性格中有善有惡,色彩斑斕。如西門慶兇狠毒辣,膽大包天,但有時(shí)也知擔(dān)驚受怕;愛財(cái)如命,貪婪成性,有時(shí)又慷慨助人;玩弄婦女,心狠手辣,可專寵瓶?jī)簠s有人情味兒。
(四)從線性結(jié)構(gòu)到網(wǎng)狀結(jié)構(gòu)
以前長(zhǎng)篇,都從“說話”演變而來,其結(jié)構(gòu)是一個(gè)個(gè)故事貫穿起來的線性結(jié)構(gòu)。
《金瓶梅》以西門慶及其家庭為主線,金、瓶、梅等故事單線又都與家庭糾葛相連。其家庭的小社會(huì)又與市井、商場(chǎng)、官府等的大社會(huì)橫向相連,形成一種縱橫交叉的網(wǎng)狀結(jié)構(gòu)?!督鹌棵贰返那楣?jié)不在于離奇曲折、環(huán)環(huán)相扣,而在于嚴(yán)密細(xì)致,自然展開。
(五)從雅變俗,多用市井語(yǔ)、家??陬^語(yǔ)。
《金瓶梅》幾乎不加修飾地展現(xiàn)市民生活原生態(tài),故多用民間市井語(yǔ)、家??陬^語(yǔ)。
欣欣子在《序》中說:《金瓶梅》多用“市井之常談,閨房之碎語(yǔ)”。
張竹坡第28回評(píng)說:“只是家常口頭語(yǔ),說來偏妙”。
《金瓶梅》大量吸收方言、行話、諺語(yǔ)、歇后語(yǔ)、俏皮話等等,熔鑄為“一篇市井文字”(張竹坡《金瓶梅讀法》)。
五、《金瓶梅》的影響

世情小說到清代形成多元化格局,如 :才子佳人小說, 世態(tài)小說,艷情小說等。
毛澤東對(duì)《金瓶梅》與《紅樓夢(mèng)》關(guān)系的評(píng)論:“《金瓶梅》是《紅樓夢(mèng)》的祖宗,沒有《金瓶梅》,就寫不出《紅樓夢(mèng)》”。
老師最后說,這學(xué)期的課到此結(jié)束。下學(xué)期繼續(xù)講明清小說《牡丹亭》、《儒林外史》、《聊齋志異》、《紅樓夢(mèng)》等。
